Jack’s Fried Chicken is Hungry Jack’s own fried chicken, made from 100% Aussie chicken breast. The burger fillet is described as “big, thick, crispy and juicy”. It’s coated and fried for a crunchy crust, then served on a toasted soft brioche bun.
It’s a different product from the Chicken Royale, which uses a thinner crumbed chicken patty on a long sesame bun, and from the Grilled Chicken burgers, which use a flame-grilled chicken breast with no coating.

Both burgers use the same fillet, lettuce and brioche bun. The only difference is the sauce. Hungry Jack’s official figures show the Spicy version with slightly more energy but less fat than the Classic. The Spicy has a little more sodium.
Which to pick: Classic if you want creamy and mild. Spicy if you want a kick without the heaviness of mayo.
Cheesy Bacon Jack’s Fried Chicken
Add premium eye bacon and melted cheese to either JFC burger and you get the Cheesy Bacon version.

The newest JFC burger is Hungry Jack’s take on a parmi. It has the crispy fillet, sizzling bacon, Tomato & Herb Napoletana sauce, melted cheese and mayo on a toasted brioche bun.

Jack’s Fried Chicken Southern Style Tenders
The tenders are whole strips of Southern-style fried chicken breast, served with a dipping sauce. Sauce options are Peppercorn, Smoky BBQ, Ranch and Signature Spicy.
Saucy Tenders come tossed in Korean BBQ, Peri Peri or Smoky Chipotle sauce.
Value: the 5-pack works out to about $3.07 per tender, compared with about $3.70 in the 3-pack.
Watch the salt: a 3-pack has 1816 mg of sodium, and a 5-pack has 2835 mg, which is more than a full day’s recommended limit.
Lightest sauce: Peri Peri Saucy Tenders are the lowest-calorie version, at 485 calories for three.

JFC or grilled? A Classic JFC burger has about twice the calories of a Grilled Chicken burger (679 vs 350). If you want chicken but are counting calories, grilled is the clear winner.
Chicken Royale vs JFC: the Chicken Royale is the budget option, at about $3.75 on the Penny Pinchers menu, with a thinner patty. JFC is the thick, premium fried chicken.

Our view: for a fried chicken burger, JFC holds its own. The thick breast fillet and brioche bun make it feel more premium than most fast-food chicken burgers. If you want bone-in fried chicken pieces or a bucket, KFC is still where you go, because Hungry Jack’s doesn’t sell them.

People still search for chicken items Hungry Jack’s has dropped or rotated:
