Makes 2 burgers
- 2 × 120 g beef patties (80/20 mince)
- 4 rashers of short-cut (eye) bacon
- 2 slices of cheddar
- 2 burger buns
- Mayo, iceberg lettuce and tomato slices
- Fry the bacon until just crisp.
- Chargrill the patties on high heat for 3 minutes a side. Add the cheese for the last minute.
- Toast the buns.
- Build it: bottom bun, patty with cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, mayo on the top bun.
Tip: this burger has no tomato sauce, and that’s deliberate. The bacon, cheese and mayo carry the flavour.
